Your time is yours
A game should fit around your day rather than stake a claim on it. Nothing here is built to nag you back.
Small games, built by someone who never stopped playing them.
Forty8K makes puzzle games for phones — the kind you learn in thirty seconds and are still turning over a week later.

What the studio cares about
A game should fit around your day rather than stake a claim on it. Nothing here is built to nag you back.
Every plant, every sound, every animation is drawn and tuned for this game and no other. It takes longer. It shows.
The board is yours to read. No move is played for you, and every consequence on it is one you picked.
In development
A sliding puzzle on a board that's always full. One gap, five columns, eight rows. Slide a plant into the gap, line up a matching pair, and grow it a tier.
Nine legendary plants from world mythology grow from seedling to full myth, then get harvested into an illuminated codex. There's a second mode for players who'd rather see how far they can push a single run before the board locks solid.
Thirty-nine plants, one gap
The studio
Forty8K comes out of a long love of games that did an enormous amount with very little — games you could load up, understand immediately, and never quite exhaust. That's the bar here.
The name is a fond nod to a machine with forty-eight kilobytes of memory and far better games than it had any right to hold. Constraints made those games sharp. That's still the idea.
